Epiphytic shrub ca. 2 m tall. Style red and green, stigma black. Young fruit green. Only one plant seen. Growing on ridge in sun. On bark of dead or fallen trees on marble. Flowers white, top corolla lobe yellow adaxially at base. Occasional. Growing along road, steep bank. In loam on decomposed granite. Forest dominated by Lithocarpus, Tsuga, Symplocos, and Rhododendron. Shrub ca. 3 m tall. Flowers white flushed pink. Occasional. Growing in forest in semi-shade. In loam on limestone.
