Bursera simaruba, Gymnanthes lucida & Caesalpinia gaumeri.
Disturbed roadside in forest, thin red-brown soil over soft
limestone.

South-facing roadside, in tropical evergreen, lowland, seasonal,
broadleaf forest: Yucatan variant, frequently cut back and
disturbed. Growing in association with Leandra mexicana,
Clidemia capitellata, Clidemia hirta, Arthrostemma ciliatum &
Clidemia dentata.
Altitude: 100m
Red clay-based soil in floodplain of tributary to South Stann
Creek, granite bedrock with occasional limestone pockets.
Very common non-woody herb up to 1m tall, with red and black
(mature) fruit.

Psychotna and Miconia sp.

Tree. Collected for the Community Ecology Research Oxford
research testing for enemy-mediated density-dependence in
the mortality of seedlings. Tropical evergreen seasonal broad-
leaved lowland forest on limestone; canopy to ~25 m
dominated by Protium copal, Manilkara zapote, Heisteria
media, Drypetes brownii, Dendropanax arboreus & Sabal
mauritiiformis. Understory dominated by Cryosophila
vs stauracantha.

On top of a steep hill, in tropical forest, on karstic limestone
terrain.
Tree 10m tall, 4.2cm in diameter. Bark white, inner bark brown.
Outer wood pink, inner yellow. Leaves with pellucid dots and
Ranalean odor.
