Leaves dark green above, with scattered hairs; flocculently hairy beneath, light buff coloured. Truss ?r6flowered; the flowers in the resting bud brilliant crimson; calyx small, glandular, hairy with brown hairs; pedicel & ovary the s^e: style glabrous.
