Habitat: Common on steep grassy slopes where avalanches habitually come down in the spring
Description: A most beautiful primula of a deep rich claret colour with up to ten flowers on one stem. Some show quite a bright orange eye at the base. Filaments white, anthers pale golden yellow. Calyx dull greenish red. Farina not noticeable. Very fragrant.
