Collecting locality: On the N side of Nianwaluo He on the trail from Fucai to Chukuai lake, ca. 4.5 direct km S of Gawagapu mountain and ca. 15.5 direct km WSW of Bingzhongluo, E side of Gaoligong Shan.
Latitude: 27° 58' 7'' N, Longitude: 98° 28' 52'' E
Habitat: Thicket without disturbance, dominanted by Rhododendron and Bamboo. Growing in shade of bamboo.
Description: Evergreen tree 4-5 m tall. Young fruit green with brown hairs.
