Collecting locality: E side of Gaoligong Shan, W of Gongshan and W of Qiqi between Dongshao Fang and the pass to the Dulong Jiang valley.
Latitude: 27° 41' 41'' N, Longitude: 98° 29' 30'' E
Habitat: Open alpine scrub and boggy meadows at or above treeline. Growing in open area along the rocky trail.
Description: Evergreen shrub ca. 3 m tall. Leaves orange tomentose abaxially. Buds red. Young fruit orange.
