Habitat: Red clay-based soil in floodplain of tributary to South Stann Creek, granite bedrock with occasional limestone pockets.; Vegetation: South-facing roadside, in Tropical evergreen, lowland, seasonal forest: Yucatan variant, frequently cut back and disturbed. Growing in association with Leandra mexicana, Clidemia capitellata, Clidemia hirta, Arthrostemma ciliatum & Clidemia dentata.
Description: Very common, non-woody large herb up to 2m with pale pink flowers.
