Oss. — Corrisponde esattamente alla diagnosi del Reichenbach che la descrisse della Dalmazia ed agli esomplari da me esaminati nel- V Herbariwm datmaticum di R. De Visiani, come ebbi gia occasione di osservare nel <« Bull. Soc. bot. it. », 1901, p. 260. Designata in seguito, come mostra la sinonimia, sotto molteplici nomi, 6 proba- bile sia stata in parte anche compresa sotto i nomi di Pl. Coronopus var. simplea Deon. in DC. (1852) e var. integrata Gren.et Godr. (1850). Avvicinata da qualche Autore a Pl. Bellardi All. con cui non ha nulla a vedere, © riferita per lo pi a Pl. Ooronopus, essa invece, per le brattee larghe e bruscamente cuspidate, appalesa strettissima affinits con Pl. commutata Guss. cui ricongiungesi con insensibili intermediari e della quale, in definitiva, non 6 che la forma in ogni parte ridotta e quindi nana. Le colture da me istituite negli ultimi due anni mi hanno rivelato che gli individui a fioritura pre- coce della entits sopra nominata presentano bene spesso i caratteri di Pl, Weldenti soprattutto quando cresciuti in terreno magro o sfruttato: essa quindi riveste i caratteri di una variazione stagio- nale e stazionale, fatto che ha una larga esplicazione nelle specie mediterranee del genere. Aggiungerd che i semi che, secondo gid misero in evidenza Reichenbach, Koch, Freyn, Sommier ecc., sono cinti di un’ala pid o meno ampia in Pl. Weldendi, sono per lo pit atteri in Pl. commutata e ciod nella pianta in ogni parte piu evoluta. Cfr. inoltre per pi ampie notizie sulle due piante: Ascherson in « Bot.
