Loc. Venetia. — Laguna di Venezia, locis humidis et subsalsis loco dicto Cavallino inter Porte del Cavallino et Foce di Piave Vecchia.— 15 Jul. 1907. Oss. — Scoperta nel distretto dallo Zannichelli (Stor. piante Lid. di Venezia, p. 212, tab. 111 » che l’indica, sotto il nome di « Pl. an- gustifolia, major », dei luoghi umidi e freschi; segnalata, quindi, da altri botanici veneti appunto del Cavallino, Ca bianca ecc. Vidi i seguenti saggi: Littore Veneto (Kellner in Hb. Montini et Hb. Mus. civ. Trieste); prati umidi del littorale Veneto (Spranzi in Hb. Pad.) ed abbondante materiale dei luoghi umidi e salati del- Istria, Triestino e del littorale Friulano, in corrispondenza del quale s’inoltra qua e 11, come deduco da saggi conservati nell’Erb, Gortani, entro terra. Del Cavallino nell’Hb. Kellner, conservato a Venezia presso il R. Ist. Veneto, sono saggi di una Pl. Meneghini descritta come nuova dal Kellner e confrontata con PI. argentea: essa non é che una forma diminuita della specie a foglie allungate strette ed a spiga capituliforme, laddove il tipo, come del resto indica il nome e mettono in evidenza gli esemplari qui distribuiti, raggiunge e sorpassa le proporzioni della tipica Pl. lanceolata, con la quale e soprattutto con la var. maritima Gren. et Godr. confusa in Italia. Pronunciare un giudizio attendibile sulla genesi e sul yalore si- stematico di questa entits 6 cosa assai ardua. Essa venne descritta e considerata da molti come specie di origine igrofilo-alofila e sembra certo che in natura ed in queste stazioni conservi i caratteri essen- ziali. Quasi immutata si mautenne la pianta adulta che coltivai a Padova negli anni 1907-08; ed ora attendo alla cultura dei semi raccolti nell’ Orto Botanico e che forse permetteranno di dare un giudizio pid sicuro sull’entita.
