It is most thoughtful of you. I am not in the herbarium dvery day and of late it has been too hot to work in, hence the delay in replying. I see from the Lévl. Catalogue that I had followed Rehder in attributing A. cavaleriei to A. delavayi Franch. At Edinburgh, we have the authentic specimen of A. cavaleriei, which is a nom. nud. in Flore du Kouy-Tcheou (sometimes F.K.T. nom. nuds, are validated in the key). This specimen is flowering only and is therefore prob- able Albizia kalkora. In addition, we have a Cavalerie 2041 duplicate of the Kew specimen which has the fruiting specimen of A lbizia julibrissin, The authentic specimen of A. cavaleriei is dated 10 June 1904 from Mou-you-se with the field note "sa tige ligneuse court sur les murs" as in F.K.T, So this Edinburgh specimen is, in effect, the only one that really matters, even though it is a nom. nud, Our reference Date I see that Nielsen has had some of our Specimens on loan but note our Cavalerie e041.
