Habitat: Cerrado on a strip of slightly elevated ground at the edge of a grassy campo.
Description: Tree, 5m tall swarming with small, aggresive ants (killed by keeping specimens in plastic bag containing some alcohol). Inflorescence spikes pale grey. Bracts creamy white.
