Habitat: On mossy gneiss rocks in shady but open situations, often under the lee of a cliff or along a rock ledge at the side of a North gulley under the shelter of Rhododendrons.
Description: Flowers purple or pinkish purple.
Miscellaneous notes: 28/6/28 (no.8295) Quite commom in steep gullies on the North face round about 11,000ft, but only just showing up. It begins at the lower limit of Abies and is always above the other 'geraniodes'
