Habitat: On alpine turf slopes, in mud, by streams.
Description: Flowers sulphur yellow, becoming darker and greenish yellow in the centre; slightly fragrant. Abundant, but few plants in flower yet. 27/6/26. Sometimes two whorls of flowers are produced, usually there is only one. The most abundant species between 11000 and 13000ft. Occurring in thousands along the banks of streams, on grassy slopes, on boulders etc. This and the 'Omphalogramma' (6821) are the two commonest species, and have a good range in altitude.
